Keeping your bHaptics device up to date ensures the best performance and compatibility. Below is a simple guide on how to check, update, and downgrade your firmware using the bHaptics Player.

How to Check Your Firmware Version
You can check the firmware version through the bHaptics Player:
- Open bHaptics Player on Windows PC, mobile, or Meta Quest, or open bHaptics Hub on mobile.
- Connect your bHaptics device to the app via Bluetooth.
- Navigate to the Device tab to view the current firmware version of your device.
Note: On Windows PC, if a firmware update is available, you can follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest version.
How to Update Firmware
Firmware upgrades can only be completed through the bHaptics Player on a Windows PC or Meta Quest.
- Open bHaptics Player on your Windows PC or Meta Quest.
- Connect your bHaptics device to the bHaptics Player via Bluetooth.
- If a firmware upgrade is available, follow the on-screen prompts to install the update.
Note: Ensure the device has a stable connection and power source during the update.
How to Downgrade Firmware
While we don’t generally recommend rolling back to an older firmware version, we understand there may be cases where it’s necessary. If you need to roll back, please contact bHaptics Support at support@bhaptics.com, and our team will guide you through the process.
