If you have exeprienced Bluetooth issues, you can resolve them using the Bluetooth Troubleshooting feature on bHaptics Player.
QUICK OVERVIEW
- Case 1 : No Bluetooth driver is detected
- Case 2 : Another Bluetooth dongle is in use instead of an official
- Case 3 : Provided dongle is detected but disabled
To troubleshoot Bluetooth issues:
- Open the bHaptics Player on your Windows PC.
- Click the “?” icon located on the top-right menu bar.
- From the dropdown menu, select “Bluetooth Troubleshooting.”
- Select “I’m an Experienced User” > “I have Bluetooth issues and want to troubleshoot”.
Then bHaptics Player will then assess your PC’s current Bluetooth settings and provide guide for your case.
Case 1 : No Bluetooth driver is detected
In this case, you can resolve the issue by inserting the provided Bluetooth dongle into the USB port on your Windows PC.
Case 2 : Another Bluetooth dongle is in use instead of an official
In this case, you have the option to either use the current Bluetooth dongle or switch to the provided dongle for stable device performance.
You can stick with your current Bluetooth dongle, but we commend switching to the provided dongle for stable connection between bHaptics device and your PC.
If you’d like to make the switch to the provided dongle, please follow these steps:
- Open Device Manger > Bluetooth Settings and disable your current Bluetooth dongle.
- Insert the provided dongle into your Windows PC.
Case 3 : Provided dongle is detected but disabled
If another Bluetooth dongle is currently in use, the provided dongle will be ignored even if it is detected. In such case, you have the option to either continue using existing Bluetooth dongle or switch to the provided one.
If you’d like to make the switch to the provided dongle, please follow these steps:
- Open Device Manger > Bluetooth Settings and disable your current Bluetooth dongle.
- After disabling, unplug and replug the provided dongle back into the USB port.
