Install and Set Up bHaptics Player for Windows PC

The bHaptics Player for Windows PC is essential software for connecting and using bHaptics devices with your computer. Before using your device, download and install the bHaptics Player from the bHaptics website.


How to Download the bHaptics Player for Windows

  1. Visit the Downloads page on the bHaptics website.

  2. Find bHaptics Player for Windows PC and click to download it.

  3. Run the installer and follow the instructions to complete the installation.

  4. Once installed, launch bHaptics Player to start the initial setup.


Set Up Bluetooth Connection

bHaptics devices connect to Windows PCs via Bluetooth. Follow the on-screen guide to pair your bHaptics device:

  1. Insert the provided Bluetooth dongle into a USB port on your PC.

  2. Select your user type:

    • New User: Follow the step-by-step setup guide.

    • Experienced User: You can choose to skip the guide or repeat the setup if you have Bluetooth issues.

  3. bHaptics Player will check your PC’s Bluetooth settings.

  4. Once Bluetooth setup is complete, turn on your bHaptics device.

  5. Click the Pair button next to your device in the list.

  6. Your device is now ready to use!


Resolving Bluetooth Connection Issues

If you encounter Bluetooth issues, use the Bluetooth Troubleshooting feature in bHaptics Player:

  1. Open bHaptics Player on your Windows PC.

  2. Click the "?" icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Bluetooth Troubleshooting from the dropdown menu.

  4. Choose "I’m an Experienced User" and then select "I have Bluetooth issues and want to troubleshoot."


bHaptics Player will check your current Bluetooth setup and provide guidance based on the following cases:


Case 1: No Bluetooth Driver Detected

  • Insert the provided Bluetooth dongle into your Windows PC to resolve this issue.


Case 2: Another Bluetooth Dongle in Use


You can continue using your current dongle or switch to the provided dongle for stable performance.

  • To switch:

    • Open Device Manager > Bluetooth Settings.

    • Disable the current dongle.

    • Insert the provided dongle into your PC.


Case 3: Provided Dongle Detected but Disabled


This usually happens if another Bluetooth dongle is active.

  • To switch to the provided dongle:
    • Disable the current dongle in Device Manager > Bluetooth Settings.
    • Unplug and replug the provided dongle into your USB port.
